Edenmoor Community in Lancaster County, South Carolina Preparing for New Home Construction and Sales
Charlotte, N.C. (PRWEB) July 4, 2007 -- GS Carolina, developer of the master-planned Edenmoor community in Lancaster County, S.C., has finalized its builder team for the development and is set for the first phase of home construction.
GS Carolina has completed contracts with national homebuilders Ryland Homes, Standard Pacific Homes, Centex Homes and North Carolina-based Bonterra Builders and Gandy Communities. Edenmoor will offer Craftsman, Bungalow and Traditional style single-family homes priced from the $200s to $600s.
"The builder team at Edenmoor will provide an attractive variety of new homes to make the community one of the most appealing developments in the area," said Tom Scott, principal/partner of GS Carolina.
"We expect the price range of homes and state-of-the-art amenities to attract young professionals and young families working in and around the Charlotte area, as well as empty nesters and families relocating from out of state," said Scott.
Edenmoor spans 868 acres and will contain 1,950 homes when built out. Plans for the community include 100,000 sq. ft. of commercial space, 250 acres of greenways and open space.
Edenmoor will also feature a one-of-a-kind skate park within a 60-acre county park built by GS Carolina on land donated by the developer to Lancaster County. The development will incorporate parks, common areas, a pedestrian-friendly layout with double sidewalks and landscaped, tree-lined streets.
Presales have begun and model homes will be completed by September of this year. The community's residents' club is now under construction and on pace to open in summer of 2008.
